Chords, scales, ragas and fingering for piano — see it, hear it, play it.
A music-theory atlas and practice studio for the piano. Every chord, scale and raga is drawn on a real keyboard, fingered for both hands, and played in a real grand piano’s sound. Practise sight reading with your own piano, write songs, and play any MIDI file with the keys lighting up.
Every chord type in every key, as real two-hand voicings and inversions, with finger numbers.
From the modes to world scales, the 72 Carnatic melakartas, Hindustani thaats and Japanese koto tunings.
Janya ragas with their arohana and avarohana, and what makes each one itself.
Standard fingering for both hands, up and down, with every thumb crossing shown.
Famous progressions in any key, the Circle of Fifths, chord and scale comparisons, arpeggios and intervals.
Your own piano, lit up: play on screen, on a USB MIDI keyboard, or on a real piano through the microphone. Open any MIDI file and the piano plays it for you — or learn it a hand at a time, as slow as you like.
Notes, chords, lines and pieces on the grand staff, at four levels. The app listens to your piano through the microphone or a MIDI keyboard, and tells you how you did.
Write songs over chord changes, a section at a time, or let Surprise me start one. Hear them, print them as sheet music, or read them in Sight Reading.
Staff Trainer, Note Trainer, a metronome with talas and tempo ramps, guided practice sessions and your progress over time.
Stage, Score, Grand, Classic and Pads, each with three themes, so the app looks the way you like.
A large part of the app is free: the core chords and scales, the progression library, Theory, Play with MIDI and the microphone, Sight Reading’s first levels, a Composer song, and MIDI files.
Unlocks everything: every chord type, scale, melakarta and raga, the builders, unlimited songs and MIDI files, advanced and expert sight reading, the full Staff Trainer, guided sessions, more designs and automatic daily Drive backups. No subscription.
Google Drive backup is optional and starts only when you tap Back up to Google Drive (or, with Pro, turn on the daily backup).
The app asks for one permission, drive.appdata, which lets it read and write only its own hidden backup folder in your Drive.
It cannot see, open or change any of your other files. Backups contain your app data only — favourites, progress, songs, your sight-reading list and settings —
and go straight from your phone to your own Drive. We never receive them. You can disconnect in the app at any time, and remove the app’s data
from Drive in your Google account’s settings.
